WEEK 1
Personification THE SEA
The Sea, loud and angry.
Tackling the boats as they slice through its giant arms.
Leaping and roaring angrily at the seagulls that screech high above.
Spitting and froathing at the mouth, hungry for peace and quiet.
Dancing gracefully rocking the green slimey seaweed to sleep.
Singing softly to the sweet songs of the dolphins that leap through the beautiful shimmering water.
The Sea, quiet and calm.
Harmony, Union, Concord, Amity.
Peace is always made by your own ability.
WEEK 4
List Poem Can You Imagine...
A stereo that doesn't play music,
Having a TV but you can't use it,
A clock that keeps the wrong time,
An alarm that doesn't chime,
A fire that can't be lit,
Boiling water that doesn't spit,
A book that can't be red,
A house that is completely dead?
Can You Imagine...
Having no sun and stars that don't shine,
If being free became a crime,
If you couldn't live your own life,
If everyone you knew walked around with a knife,
If you weren't allowed to speak your own mind,
If you never saw anything, you were completely blind,
If violence was the only way,
If you hate took over our world today?
WEEK 5
I DON"T UNDERSTAND I don't understand...
Why homework was created,
Why teachers need degrees,
Why movies are all rated,
Why we don't just live in trees.
I really don't understand...
Why we all laugh at jokes that aren't even funny,
Why i can't win lotto and go on a shopping spree.
Why have to clothes cost money,
Why shoes can't just be free,
But I do understand..
Why money doesn't grow on giant trees,
And why love is sometimes blind,
Why to go to school you have to pay fees,
And why happiness is hard to find...=)
WEEK 6
Just Because Just Because I'm Not Rich...
I'm not going to complain,
I'm not upset or sad,
I'm not at all ashamed,
Just Because I'm Not Rich...
I'm not living on the streets,
I'm not searching the bin for food, I'm not dying just to eat,
Just Because I'm Not Rich...
I know my lifes not perfect,
I don't expect you to understand,
I know I'm not the only one,
Just Because I'm Not Rich--I might need a helping hand.
WEEK 7
Month Metaphors Dances in ready to light up your day,
Struts the cat walk showing off its beautiful glimmering rays,
Prances around sharing its happiness with the world,
Then parades away grinning blissfully.
WEEK 8
Senses Poem
I see the lush green grass.
I smell the aroma of fresh flowers.
I hear the wind rustling through the trees.
I feel the refreshing breeze swaying through my hair.
I taste the dew in the wind.
I think i am in my own slice of paradise.
